Services
At Bargara Occupational Therapy our occupational therapy services are designed to support children of all ages in achieving their fullest potential at home, school, and in the community. We offer comprehensive assessments, tailored therapy sessions, engaging group programs, and professional training for schools and organisations. Our goal is to provide personalised care that empowers individuals and families to build skills, confidence, and independence.

Assessments
The majority of our assessments are conducted in the clinic, with some available online. Online assessments typically involve input from parents or teachers. We can also arrange school observations to understand how the child is functioning in the classroom.
While most of our assessments are standardised, we use our clinical expertise and experience to interpret the results and provide tailored feedback.

Group Work
Our occupational therapists use group settings to help children achieve set goals related to fine and gross motor skills while fostering social engagement through guided play and activities. Therapy may also involve family participation, with the therapist observing and offering feedback to support skill development and strengthen family connections.

Therapy
The therapy stage is where the most significant progress occurs. Occupational therapy focuses on improving daily function, increasing independence, and enhancing physical, social, and behavioral skills. Sessions are regularly reviewed and adjusted to support the child and family, providing evidence of progress over time.
