Fees & Rebates

At Bargara Occupational Therapy, we offer flexible payment options to ensure our services are accessible to everyone. Clients can choose to privately fund their therapy or access support through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Here you will find detailed information about our fees, as well as a range of financial support services available to help cover the cost of occupational therapy.

Bargara Occupational Therapy’s fees fall within the parameters of the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2024-25.

Cancellation Policy: In order to be able to offer our services to all individuals who require them, we ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you provide a minimum of 48 hours notice. Fees will apply if less than 48 hours notice is given or for failure to attend a booked appointment without notice. 

Financial Support for
Occupational Therapy

Navigating financial support options for Occupational Therapy services can feel overwhelming. Fortunately, there are multiple avenues available to help cover some or all of your Occupational Therapy sessions. Your local GP or paediatrician can provide guidance and assistance in accessing these options.

Private Health Insurance

Check with your private health fund to see if you have extras cover for Occupational Therapy. If eligible, you may receive a rebate for part of your therapy fees. After each appointment, we will provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurer.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Bargara Occupational Therapy provides services for individuals with NDIS funding who are plan-managed or self-managed under the support category 'Improved Daily Living'. To determine your eligibility for an NDIS plan, contact the NDIA. Click here for more information.​

Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP)
Previously called the Enhanced Primary Care Plan, a CDMP is available through your GP and provides up to 5 rebated allied health sessions per calendar year. You can use these for 5 individual Occupational Therapy appointments, and Medicare will process a rebate after the account has been paid in full. Click here for more information about CDMP.

Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) for Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders
Individuals under 25 with complex neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) may be eligible for up to 20 Medicare-rebated sessions. Assessment and therapy can be provided by eligible allied health professionals, including Occupational Therapists. Click here for more information about MBS eligibility.

Medicare Follow-Up Services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals with a health assessment, CDMP, or multidisciplinary care plan are eligible for an additional 5 Medicare-rebated allied health sessions each year. Click here for more information.
